September 2018 – In September, NYSBC placed orders for three new Krios G3i-Cryo transmission electron microscopes. These microscopes will be part of the new National Center for CryoEM Access and Training, which was funded by the NIH Common Fund Transformative High Resolution Cryo-Electron Microscopy program. A new building to house the new instruments is currently being constructed. We expect delivery of the three new microscopes in August, October and December of 2019.
